Hallow-Fail

This contest is DOA everyone. With only two submissions, it's a little difficult to hold a contest. So we're going to go ahead and pull the plug on this for now.

Stay tuned folks, 'cause it's only a matter of time before we bounce back with something that will hopefully be both bigger and better. There's a ton of stuff in the works that I can't even tell you guys about yet, but you're going to love it when you see it. Like us on facebook, look at our stuff as we put it up, comment, like, keep watching, viewing, and supporting! You guys are awesome even though your lack of doing crap made this contest fail!

A Quick Reminder

Halloween 2011!!!

Holy Christ it's been way too long since I've posted here. And since it's been updated. We have dropped off of the radar for a bit to work on some things of our own here, but we're all building up to something bigger and better we're hoping that all of our followers - and dare I say fans - will truly enjoy seeing.

That aside, I'm here to officially announce the Halloween contest on our blog! ( Super late on this one, I am very sorry about this you guys ).

So late, in fact, that the end date for the contest is Monday night at 11:59pm! We're going to be doing this the same way that we did last time, with everyone needed to email me their entries by that time! Hey guys, long time no chat huh? Its been an interesting hop into the new year with the various personal projects I'm sure we're all undertaking but now is not the time to be caught running with our under-garments around our ankles! Time is at hand and success afoot! There has been some ambiguity with things here so I'll be talking to Brian (and hopefully Nate too) here shortly on adding some definition to some new momentum. Between the Christmas Contest and the Halloween issue, we ended last year on some fairly good notes; however time to kick the difficulty a little higher and prepare for some lives to be lost lol. No more auto-aim! Anyways, I set-up a Fizzy page (Business/Artist-People) on Facebook (feel free to visit my employers and you'll see it) so definitely drop in, like the page, and add some comments/concerns/apple pies of your own; after all, we do get hungry from time to time and McDonalds just isn't cutting it.

Christmas Contest - RESULTS!!!

First off, I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday and new year! And secondly, I want to thank each and everyone one of those of you who entered the contest, and those of you who voted! You all helped make the first Studio Fizzy contest successful, and for that, I know all of us are truly thankful. To anyone who has been following the comments in the previous post here on the blog, the results are already obvious.

Submission number 4 is the big winner with 15 votes.
Submission number 3 came in second with 5 votes.
Submission number 2 came in third with 2 votes.
And finally, submission number 1 rounds them all out with no votes.

Congratulations to Nate who will be receiving the prize soon! And thanks again to everyone who participated! Stay tuned folks, because we have another contest planned in the near future.

Christmas Contest - VOTING!!!

And now it has come down to this - the votes.

As I stated before, the voting process will take place here on the blog. To be more specific, it'll be taking place in the comments of this blog post. Voters will simply comment on a picture that they see here. The pictures will be numbered 1 through 4. Leave a comment with the number you wish to vote for. Voting will be open until Wednesday, January 5th. Plenty of time for people to rally votes for their own pieces. Contestants are not allowed to vote themselves!

The Grand Prize for the Christmas Contest will be a $25 Gift Card to Hobby Lobby, which will be presented to the winner shortly after the voting period ends.

Sorry for the late update today everyone, had a lot of things going on here on my end. The Christmas Contest for 2010 has officially come to a close. I have received all of the submissions for the contest and will be putting them up in the next post. For now, I wanted to thank everyone who participated in the contest, and those who wanted to but were unable to.

For those who belong to both groups, thanks for making this contest possible!

This is the end of the first, but definitely not the last contest. Already, idea's are floating around for more contests in the future. More details on those will be posted here and on my DA in the future. Thanks to everyone who has watched the blog here through Blogger, and those who have liked Studio Fizzy on Facebook.

Christmas Contest - Update!!!

Hello again everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays!

We've got another watcher, which is always awesome, and I just received the first submission for the contest in my inbox! This is a friendly reminder to everyone that all submissions for the contest are due by midnight, tomorrow night. I'll be making another update tomorrow night detailing how the judging is going to work, how long it's going to run, and the total amount of the grand prize! So be sure that you follow us here on the Fizzy blog/bookmark the page so that you are up to date on everything!

Christmas Contest - Sound Off!

First and foremost - I see we have four new watchers! That is awesome! Thanks to all of the new watchers. It's definitely encouraging to see!

Secondly - Christmas time is coming up fast! I hope everyone is kicking major ass with their submissions for the contest!

And, on that note, the real reason I'm making this post is out of sheer curiosity. I haven't gotten any emails from anyone nor have I gotten any notes on deviant art, but I am curious as to how many of you have seen this and are working on things for the contest? How many people have you told? How many people eat candy canes like drug addicts?

Make some noise, sound off in the comments, and let me know if you're going to be submitting anything come December 22nd!

Announcing the Fizzy Christmas Contest 2010!!!

Studio Fizzy is currently in the middle of huge pans to grow and push ourselves to the next level, be we're not too busy to stop and remember what time of year it is! It's the holiday season that people all over look forward to every year. No matter what you celebrate, or don't, December is an awesome month for parties, gifts, and what have you. Don't worry, Fizzy's got your back here.

We'll be celebrating this holiday season by way of a fun little Holiday Art Contest. This is the very same contest that I just announced on my Deviant Art page ( http://bwebb89.deviantart.com/ ). The rules for the contest are as follows:

1. You are free to use any media you wish. Digital, traditional, etc.

2. The theme of all submissions should be something pertaining to this holiday season. Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, New Years, etc.

3. Feel free to use Deviant Art, Facebook, or any other site to raise awareness for the contest, support, or what have you.

4. The contest will run from now until December 22, 2010. All entries must be submitted to me by midnight, December 22nd, EST, so that I can prepare things for judging. Entries may be submitted here, or sent to my email directly. Please send all entries in the form of .jpg,.jpeg, or .png. If you are unable to save them as such, email them to me in any format and I will convert them for you.

5. Judging will not be done by myself or any other members of Fizzy, but by an open, public vote that will be held on the Studio Fizzy blog ( www.studiofizzy.blogspot.com ). Each piece will be numbered and showcased there, and votes will be counted by comments made there. Further information on the judging will be provided as the contest ends.


The first place winner will receive a Hobby Lobby Gift Card, currently of an unspecified amount. Once we come to a final decision on the exact amount, I'll be posting an update here and on Deviant Art. If you primarily check your Facebook, don't worry, Fizzy has you covered.
